Dinevate vs Slice
Dinevate is one system that runs a pizzeria's website, its online ordering, its branded app, its AI phone line and its front counter on one menu, one order pipeline and one customer record. Everything a guest does, including paying, happens on your own domain.
Your checkout stays yours
On the Slice-built pizzeria site we audited in August 2026, pressing Checkout sent the guest to slicelife.com to pay; with Dinevate they never leave you.
Pizza built properly
Half-and-half pies with every topping placed left, whole or right, topping prices that follow the size, and Light, Normal, Extra or On the Side per ingredient.
Articles on your own site
We write 10 to 16 full local articles from your live menu, publish them on your domain, and report what each one earned.
One set-up price
Onboarding is a set $499, one time; after that there is an ongoing arrangement, plus four add-ons: reservations, Voice AI, Catering Pro and Social Media Pro.
This is the ordering your guests get
Not a mockup — your menu, on your own domain and in your own branded app, with the checkout guests already know from the national chains.

- Its own page, not a scroll position
- Note the “Menu / Pizza” breadcrumb. Each category is a routed, prefetched page — so it opens instantly and Google can index it on its own.
- Options built for real menus
- Size marked Required, Toppings marked Optional, each with its own price. Half-and-half placement and size-aware topping pricing work the same way.
- The same thing on a phone
- The phone is the primary layout, not a shrunken desktop — and the same menu drives your branded app, the AI phone line and your register.
Choose Dinevate if…
You want the whole thing - website, ordering, your own app, the phone and the counter - running as one system on your own domain, with the checkout, the customer and the search traffic staying with your pizzeria.
Choose Slice if…
Your decision is really about being listed inside Slice's own pizza marketplace, and having guests finish checkout on slicelife.com under a Slice account is a trade you are happy to make.
Dinevate vs Slice at a glance
| Feature | Dinevate | Slice |
|---|---|---|
| Where your guest pays | Your guest pays on your own website, in your brand, start to finish | Pressing Checkout sends the guest to Slice's own site to pay |

| How your menu is laid out | Every category opens as its own page, so Google can list each one | The whole menu is one long page with links that jump you down it |

What is Slice?
Slice is a pizza-only platform that pairs a consumer marketplace on slicelife.com with restaurant-facing tools: online ordering, a website, bundled hardware, card processing, a phone-answering service staffed by people that includes Spanish, and a pizza-box supply program. Its ordering is built specifically for pizza, with size tiers and per-topping upcharges. Published membership pricing is $39/month plus $3.00 per order on the Online Membership, or $399/month plus $2.00 per order on the Family Membership, with card processing at 2.90% + $0.30 on both and a $1,000 implementation fee on Family; terms are month-to-month. One structural detail matters more than any single feature: on the Slice-built pizzeria site we audited in August 2026, the menu sits on the restaurant's own domain, but pressing Checkout redirects the guest to slicelife.com - a Slice-branded page carrying Slice's own 2026 copyright footer, governed by Slice's Terms of Service, and prompting the guest to create a Slice account.
What is Dinevate?
Most vendors sell a website and an ordering page, then integrate a phone product, an app and a register on top. In Dinevate they were never separate. Website checkout, the branded mobile app, the AI phone agent and the in-store register all call the same order function, so the same tax logic, the same discount validation, the same duplicate guard, the same confirmation email and the same printing apply no matter which door the order came through - there is no second pipeline that can drift. They all land on one kitchen screen per restaurant, so a phone order is indistinguishable from a web order on the Order Manager tablet, and there is no separate "AI orders" inbox to check. They read one menu, so you price a pie once and it is right on the site, in the app, on the register and in what the AI says out loud. A returning caller is matched by phone number against the same customer account the website and app use, and that same list is your email-marketing audience - a link a vendor pairing a website with an ordering page structurally cannot build, because there is no phone product on the same database. Because the channel is stamped on every order row, your dashboard draws a single "How Customers Order" breakdown across website, app, phone and counter. On the commercial side: onboarding is $499, one time, the same for everyone, covering your website, online ordering, loyalty, the local SEO program, email marketing and the Order Manager tablet, which is loaned and remains Dinevate property. Your branded iPhone and Android app is included as well, with no separate subscription. After launch you are on an ongoing arrangement - a per-order service fee or a flat monthly, whichever fits your restaurant - with no contract and no cancellation penalty, but there is an ongoing cost and we would rather say so here than in month two. Four products are add-ons with their own subscriptions: reservations, Dinevate Voice AI, Catering Pro and Social Media Pro. Dinevate Delivery is not an add-on: it is the delivery itself, dispatched to the best-rated drivers in your area with 100% of the tip going to the driver, paid per delivery only when you use it.
Why restaurants choose Dinevate over Slice
Your checkout never leaves your website
On the Slice-built pizzeria site we audited in August 2026, the menu sits on the restaurant's own domain, but pressing Checkout hands the guest to slicelife.com - a Slice-branded page under Slice's Terms of Service that asks them to create a Slice account. With Dinevate the guest never leaves you: the cart, Apple Pay and Google Pay where your processor supports them, and whichever of tipping, gift cards and promo codes you switch on, right through to the confirmation - all on your site, in your colours. The account that gets created belongs to your pizzeria, not to someone else's platform.
One order, whatever door it came through
Your website, your app, the AI phone line and the register at your counter all write the same order, the same way, onto the same kitchen screen - so nothing can drift between them and there is no separate inbox to remember to check. A regular who phones is matched to the same customer record your website uses, and that list is also who your marketing emails go to. Because every order knows which door it came through, your dashboard draws one plain breakdown of how your customers actually order.
Pizza depth, and the way your menu is laid out
Toppings go on the left half, the whole pie or the right half with a visual pie icon, topping prices follow the size the guest picked, and any ingredient can be Light, Normal, Extra or On the Side. Almost every ordering platform puts the whole menu on one long page and gives you a link that jumps you down it; Dinevate gives each category its own page, loaded before the guest even taps it and listed separately by Google. It behaves like an app and it ranks like a website - and it works the same way for any cuisine, not only pizza.
Articles on your own site, not a listing beside other pizzerias
Slice's local content lives on slicelife.com, where your shop appears next to other pizzerias nearby - and on the Slice-built site we checked in August 2026, the page list search engines look for was missing entirely. Dinevate writes 10 to 16 full local articles for a single-location restaurant and publishes them on your own website, from your live menu, your real hours and your current deals, and we register and verify your site with Google so you can see what each article earned. We cap it on purpose: bulk near-identical pages get treated as spam, and in August 2026 we deleted 8,252 of our own after measuring that they had earned nothing in 90 days.

Most vendors sell a website and an ordering page, then bolt on the rest. In Dinevate they were never separate.
Your website, your online ordering, your branded app, the AI that answers your phone and the register at your counter all run on one menu, one order pipeline and one customer record. That is not a longer feature list — it is a different architecture, and it is what a website-plus-ordering vendor cannot copy without rebuilding.
One order pipeline, whichever door it came through
A website order, an order from your branded app, an order the AI took on the phone, and an order rung up at the counter are the same kind of order in the same system — same tax logic, same discounts, same duplicate protection, same confirmation. Nothing drifts between channels because there is no second channel to drift from.
One screen in the kitchen
Every order lands on the same Order Manager tablet and the same printer flow. A phone order looks exactly like a website order to your staff. There is no separate inbox to remember to check.
One menu behind every surface
The same menu drives your website, your app, what the AI says on the phone, the in-store register, and your Google food-ordering feeds. You price a dish once and it is priced everywhere.
One customer, however they reached you
When a regular calls, the AI recognizes the number against the same customer account the website uses — their name, their saved addresses. A caller who has never touched your website becomes a customer record with the order attached, and that record is the audience your email marketing already uses.
One list for reservations, one pipeline for catering
Bookings from the website, the app, the phone and the walk-in podium are a single list synced to the tablet. Catering inquiries taken on a call land in the same pipeline as the ones from your website form.
One chart a bolted-together stack cannot draw
Because the channel is recorded on every order, your dashboard shows one breakdown of how your customers actually order — website, app, phone, in-store — side by side. Vendors running separate systems for each channel have no single place that number exists.
And the ordering itself is built like a chain app
This is the part guests feel. Your regulars already know how the big chains order — Dinevate holds your menu to that standard.
Each category is its own page, not a scroll position
Most ordering platforms render your whole menu as one long document and give guests a jump-link to scroll inside it. Dinevate gives every category its own page, prefetched the moment the menu loads so it opens instantly — and individually indexable by Google. It behaves like an app and it ranks like a website.
Customization built for real menus
Half-and-half pizza with visual placement on the pie. Topping prices that follow the size automatically. Light, Normal, Extra or On the Side per ingredient. Required picks, pick-three budgets, nested sub-groups, and “these come included — tap to remove what you don’t want.”
Nobody gets stuck at the Add button
Miss a required choice and the button tells you so, then scrolls you straight to the group you missed and highlights it. The running price updates live on the button as you build the item.
Suggestions from your own order history
After an item is added, the suggestions that appear are computed from what your customers actually buy together, refreshed weekly — not a generic upsell list. Popular Combinations applies an entire proven build, every option included, in one tap.
Reorder that actually rebuilds the order
One tap rebuilds a past order with every modifier and special request intact. Favorites remember the exact options, not just the dish.
A checkout that does not lose people
Apple Pay and Google Pay where the processor supports them, saved cards, and guest checkout with no account wall. Four steps that collapse as you finish them, the order summary first on a phone, address autocomplete with a confirmation step, and honest longer wait times shown before the guest commits.

How Dinevate Delivery worksFrequently asked questions
- Is Dinevate a good alternative to Slice for a pizzeria?
- Yes, if you want the direct channel to be genuinely yours. Dinevate gives you deep pizza ordering - half-and-half with visual placement, topping prices that follow the size, and Light, Normal, Extra or On the Side per ingredient - on your own domain, with the checkout, the customer record and the search traffic staying with you, plus real local articles published on your site and a branded app included. On the Slice-built site we audited in August 2026, the guest finishes checkout on slicelife.com under a Slice account, so the relationship at the moment of payment is with Slice.
- Does Dinevate handle half-and-half pies and size-dependent topping prices?
- Yes. Each topping can go on the left half, the whole pie or the right half with a visual pie icon, and topping prices follow the chosen size automatically, either by automatic increment or by manual per-size pricing. You can offer Light, Normal, Extra, Xxtra or On the Side per ingredient, set pick-one groups, pick min-to-max groups, nested sub-groups and "comes included, tap to remove" groups, and allow per-choice quantities such as 2x bacon with a live count of what is left to pick. Popular Combinations applies a whole proven build - size, toppings, every option - in one tap, with undo.
- What does Slice cost in 2026?
- Slice publishes two memberships: an Online Membership at $39/month plus $3.00 per order, and a Family Membership at $399/month plus $2.00 per order with a $1,000 implementation fee. Card processing is 2.90% + $0.30 on both, and terms are month-to-month. Those are Slice's published figures as of August 2026, so check their pricing page before you decide. For comparison, Dinevate's onboarding is a set $499, one time, with the ongoing arrangement quoted to your restaurant's volume.
- What does Dinevate cost?
- Onboarding is a set $499, one time, and it is the same for everyone. It covers your website, online ordering, loyalty, the local SEO program, email marketing and the Order Manager tablet - the tablet is loaned and remains Dinevate property - and your branded iPhone and Android app is included too, with no separate subscription. After launch you are on an ongoing arrangement, either a per-order service fee or a flat monthly, whichever fits your restaurant better; there is no contract and no cancellation penalty, but there is an ongoing cost and we would rather tell you here than in month two. Four products are add-ons with their own subscriptions: reservations, Dinevate Voice AI, Catering Pro and Social Media Pro. Separate one-time items at signup include the Pro Photo Service at $99, receipt printers at $299 each and kitchen displays at $249 each. Dinevate Delivery is not a subscription - you pay per delivery, only when you use it.
- Why quote the ongoing price instead of publishing a tier?
- Because the honest number depends on things a pricing table cannot see. A pizzeria doing 40 orders a night and a three-location group with a catering business should not pay the same way. Some of our restaurants are on a per-order service fee and some are on a flat monthly. Most platforms make you pick a tier and squeeze your restaurant into it; we do the opposite - the $499 onboarding is fixed and stated up front, and the rest is quoted after we have looked at your volume, your average ticket, how your guests order and how many locations you run.
- Can Dinevate answer my phone?
- Dinevate Voice AI is an add-on with its own pricing - a commission on the orders it takes plus a $200/month account minimum - and it is not part of the $499. It answers around the clock in English, takes the whole order from your real menu with sizes and modifiers, answers menu questions, upsells from your own order history, captures catering leads and transfers to a person when the caller asks, with a full transcript of every call in your dashboard. Card payment is handled by a secure link texted to the caller rather than read out over the phone. Slice's phone coverage is an answering service staffed by people; what Dinevate's phone line adds is that the call becomes an order in the same pipeline, on the same kitchen screen, against the same customer record as your website orders.
