Comparison

Dinevate vs Owner.com

Dinevate is one system: your website, online ordering, branded app, AI phone line and front counter all run on one order pipeline, one menu and one guest list. Onboarding is $499 once, then an ongoing arrangement built around your restaurant, with no contract.

  • One kitchen screen

Orders from your website, your app, the phone AI and the front counter all arrive on the same tablet, in the same list.

  • A phone line that answers

Dinevate Voice AI takes the whole order from your real menu around the clock, as an add-on with its own pricing, in English only.

  • Found on your own domain

We write real local articles from your live menu and publish them on your website, then show you what each one earned.

  • Chain-app ordering depth

Half-and-half pizzas placed on the pie, topping prices that follow the size, and one tap to rebuild a past order.

This is the ordering your guests get

Not a mockup — your menu, on your own domain and in your own branded app, with the checkout guests already know from the national chains.

Its own page, not a scroll position
Note the “Menu / Pizza” breadcrumb. Each category is a routed, prefetched page — so it opens instantly and Google can index it on its own.
Options built for real menus
Size marked Required, Toppings marked Optional, each with its own price. Half-and-half placement and size-aware topping pricing work the same way.
The same thing on a phone
The phone is the primary layout, not a shrunken desktop — and the same menu drives your branded app, the AI phone line and your register.

Choose Dinevate if…

You want your website, ordering, app, phone line and counter to be one system on one guest list, ordering deep enough for half-and-half pies and size-based topping prices, and real local articles on your own domain.

Choose Owner.com if…

You would rather choose from a published monthly plan than have the ongoing number quoted to you, and a phone line, one guest list across channels and articles on your own domain are not part of this decision.

What is Owner.com?

Owner.com is a restaurant marketing and online-ordering platform for independent restaurants. It builds a website with direct online ordering, includes a branded native app in its plan price, and its newer site templates ship a set of automatically generated local pages. Pricing is published: Flexible at $249/month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, or Flat Rate at $499/month with no restaurant fee, both month-to-month with no cancellation fee. Both plans additionally carry a 5% guest-facing order support fee, disclosed on Owner's own pricing page — we observed it at an Owner checkout as "Support Local Fee: $0.99" on an $8.00 pickup subtotal, so part of the "0% commission" position is paid by the diner. Owner's AI Phone Ordering is announced but not purchasable: as of 13 August 2026 the product page is a "Join the waitlist" form with no published price and no availability date. On the content side, the local pages run roughly 150–250 templated words each, there is no blog or article CMS on customer sites, and they are not deployed everywhere — Saffron Indian Kitchen, the restaurant featured in Owner's own SEO case study, has a seven-URL sitemap with none of those pages on it.

What is Dinevate?

Dinevate is a restaurant operating system rather than a website with ordering attached. Website checkout, the branded mobile app, the AI phone agent and the in-store register all call the same order function, so there is no second pipeline that can drift: the same tax logic, the same discount validation, the same duplicate guard, the same confirmation email, the same POS injection. Every order lands on one kitchen screen — a phone order is indistinguishable from a website order on the tablet, and there is no separate "AI orders" inbox to remember to check. One menu record feeds the website, the app, what the AI says on the phone, the register and Google's food-ordering feeds, so you price a dish once. One customer record covers all of it: the phone agent recognizes a returning caller by number against the same account the website and app use, and a first-time caller becomes a customer record automatically — matched on phone number, since voice orders often arrive with no email — and lands in the same email-marketing audience. Because the channel is stamped on every order, your dashboard draws a single "How Customers Order" breakdown across website, app, phone and in-store. Most vendors sell a website and an ordering page, then integrate a phone product, an app and a register on top; in Dinevate they were never separate, and a vendor pairing "website + online ordering" cannot make that link at all, because there is no phone product sitting on the same database. Onboarding is $499 one time, a set price, and covers the website, online ordering, loyalty, the local SEO program, email marketing and the Order Manager tablet — which is loaned and remains Dinevate property. Your branded iPhone and Android app is included as well, with no separate price. After launch you are on an ongoing arrangement: a per-order service fee or a flat monthly, whichever fits your restaurant, with no contract and no cancellation penalty — but there is an ongoing cost, and we would rather say so here than in month two. Four products are add-ons with their own subscriptions: reservations, Dinevate Voice AI, Catering Pro and Social Media Pro. Dinevate Delivery is not an add-on and not a subscription — it is the delivery itself, dispatched to the best-rated drivers in your area, 100% of the tip to the driver, paid per delivery only when you use it.

Why restaurants choose Dinevate over Owner.com

One system, not a website with products bolted on

Your website, your app, the phone AI and the front counter all run through the same order function and land on the same tablet, so nothing drifts between them — same prices, same discount rules, same confirmation, same printing. Because every order records which channel it came from, your dashboard draws one "How Customers Order" breakdown covering website, app, phone and in-store. A vendor whose phone orders live in a different system cannot draw that chart.

A phone line that answers today

Owner's AI phone ordering page was still a "Join the waitlist" form with no price and no availability date when we checked it on 13 August 2026. Dinevate Voice AI is answering calls now: it takes the whole order from your real menu with sizes and modifiers, answers menu questions, captures catering leads and hands off to a person when asked, with a transcript of every call. It is an add-on with its own pricing — a commission on the orders it takes plus a $200/month account minimum — it is not part of the $499, and the agent speaks English only.

Your menu is real pages, not one long document

Almost every ordering platform in this category renders the whole menu as one long page and gives your guest a link that jumps them down it; Owner's is a continuous card grid under category headings with scroll-spy. Dinevate gives every category its own page, prefetched the moment the menu loads so taps are instant, and cached so Google can index it on its own. The same pages that make ordering fast are the pages you get found on.

Articles on your domain, capped on purpose

Owner's local pages run roughly 150–250 templated words each, there is no blog or article CMS on customer sites, and they are not on every site — the restaurant in Owner's own SEO case study has a seven-URL sitemap without them. Dinevate writes 10 to 16 full articles for a single-location restaurant from your live menu, your real hours and your current deals, publishes them on your own domain, and reports what each one earned in Search Console. The cap is the point: bulk near-duplicate pages get treated as doorway spam, which is why we deleted 8,252 of our own low-value pages in August 2026 and measured zero clicks lost.

A Dinevate restaurant menu: a sticky category list down the left, Menu, Best Sellers, Specials and Deals across the top, and photographed category tiles
Best Sellers is built from real order counts and hides itself until a restaurant has enough history to be honest about it. Specials and Deals get their own destinations instead of being buried in the menu.
One system, not a stack

Most vendors sell a website and an ordering page, then bolt on the rest. In Dinevate they were never separate.

Your website, your online ordering, your branded app, the AI that answers your phone and the register at your counter all run on one menu, one order pipeline and one customer record. That is not a longer feature list — it is a different architecture, and it is what a website-plus-ordering vendor cannot copy without rebuilding.

One order pipeline, whichever door it came through

A website order, an order from your branded app, an order the AI took on the phone, and an order rung up at the counter are the same kind of order in the same system — same tax logic, same discounts, same duplicate protection, same confirmation. Nothing drifts between channels because there is no second channel to drift from.

One screen in the kitchen

Every order lands on the same Order Manager tablet and the same printer flow. A phone order looks exactly like a website order to your staff. There is no separate inbox to remember to check.

One menu behind every surface

The same menu drives your website, your app, what the AI says on the phone, the in-store register, and your Google food-ordering feeds. You price a dish once and it is priced everywhere.

One customer, however they reached you

When a regular calls, the AI recognizes the number against the same customer account the website uses — their name, their saved addresses. A caller who has never touched your website becomes a customer record with the order attached, and that record is the audience your email marketing already uses.

One list for reservations, one pipeline for catering

Bookings from the website, the app, the phone and the walk-in podium are a single list synced to the tablet. Catering inquiries taken on a call land in the same pipeline as the ones from your website form.

One chart a bolted-together stack cannot draw

Because the channel is recorded on every order, your dashboard shows one breakdown of how your customers actually order — website, app, phone, in-store — side by side. Vendors running separate systems for each channel have no single place that number exists.

And the ordering itself is built like a chain app

This is the part guests feel. Your regulars already know how the big chains order — Dinevate holds your menu to that standard.

Each category is its own page, not a scroll position

Most ordering platforms render your whole menu as one long document and give guests a jump-link to scroll inside it. Dinevate gives every category its own page, prefetched the moment the menu loads so it opens instantly — and individually indexable by Google. It behaves like an app and it ranks like a website.

Customization built for real menus

Half-and-half pizza with visual placement on the pie. Topping prices that follow the size automatically. Light, Normal, Extra or On the Side per ingredient. Required picks, pick-three budgets, nested sub-groups, and “these come included — tap to remove what you don’t want.”

Nobody gets stuck at the Add button

Miss a required choice and the button tells you so, then scrolls you straight to the group you missed and highlights it. The running price updates live on the button as you build the item.

Suggestions from your own order history

After an item is added, the suggestions that appear are computed from what your customers actually buy together, refreshed weekly — not a generic upsell list. Popular Combinations applies an entire proven build, every option included, in one tap.

Reorder that actually rebuilds the order

One tap rebuilds a past order with every modifier and special request intact. Favorites remember the exact options, not just the dish.

A checkout that does not lose people

Apple Pay and Google Pay where the processor supports them, saved cards, and guest checkout with no account wall. Four steps that collapse as you finish them, the order summary first on a phone, address autocomplete with a confirmation step, and honest longer wait times shown before the guest commits.

How Dinevate Delivery works

Frequently asked questions

Is Dinevate a good alternative to Owner.com?
It depends on what you are replacing. If what you need is a website with an ordering page on a published monthly plan, Owner.com covers that. Dinevate is a different shape: the website, the ordering, your branded app, the AI phone line (an add-on) and the front counter run on one order pipeline, one menu and one guest list, so a phone order and a web order are the same order on the same kitchen screen. The ordering itself goes deeper — half-and-half pizzas placed on the pie, topping prices that follow the size, one tap to rebuild a past order — and we publish full-length local articles on your own domain rather than short auto-filled location pages.
Does Owner.com have AI phone ordering?
It is announced, not purchasable. As of 13 August 2026 Owner's AI Phone Ordering page is a "Join the waitlist" form with no published price and no availability date. Dinevate Voice AI answers your phone today: it takes the full order from your real menu with sizes and modifiers, answers menu questions, captures catering leads and transfers to a person when asked, with a transcript of every call. It is an add-on with its own pricing — a commission on the orders it takes plus a $200/month account minimum — it is not included in the $499, and the agent speaks English only.
How much does Dinevate cost compared with Owner.com?
Onboarding is $499 one time — a set price, the same for every restaurant — covering your website, online ordering, loyalty, the local SEO program, email marketing and the Order Manager tablet, which is loaned and remains Dinevate property. Your branded mobile app is included too, with no separate price. After launch there is an ongoing arrangement: either a per-order service fee or a flat monthly, built around your volume, average ticket, channel mix and number of locations. There is no contract and no cancellation penalty, but there is an ongoing cost, and we would rather tell you that here than in month two. We quote it rather than publish it because a pizzeria doing 40 orders a night and a three-location group with catering should not pay the same way. Four Dinevate products are priced separately as add-ons: reservations, Dinevate Voice AI, Catering Pro and Social Media Pro. Owner.com publishes Flexible at $249/month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, and Flat Rate at $499/month with no restaurant fee, both month-to-month — and both plans additionally carry the 5% order support fee their own pricing page discloses on your guest's total. With Dinevate, how a per-order service fee reaches the guest is your decision, not a fixed percentage set for you.
What does my guest pay at checkout?
Owner's own pricing page discloses a 5% order support fee charged to the guest on both plans — we saw it at an Owner checkout as "Support Local Fee: $0.99" on an $8.00 pickup subtotal, which means part of the "0% commission" headline is funded by your diner. Dinevate can also work as a per-order service fee, but how it reaches the guest is your call — pass it on, absorb it, split it, or take a flat monthly instead and add nothing at checkout. Delivery is separate again: Dinevate Delivery is not a subscription, it is the delivery itself — best-rated drivers dispatched, 100% of the tip to the driver, a fee that varies by area and distance, paid only when you use it.
Do I get a branded app, and does it cost extra?
Your branded iPhone and Android app is included with Dinevate and carries no separate price — full ordering, one-tap reorder, loyalty, wallet and gift cards, saved cards, and Apple Pay and Google Pay where your processor supports them, promoted from your website with a matching "Get our app" page. It is not one of the four add-ons. Owner includes a branded native app in its plan price as well; what differs is what sits behind it — with Dinevate the app, the website, the phone line and the counter are the same order pipeline, the same menu record and the same guest list, so an app order and a phone order arrive on one screen and attach to one customer.
Can I bring my customers and my rankings over from Owner.com?
Yes. Customer records import from Owner.com, and you can export the whole list to CSV whenever you want — it is your list, not ours. On the search side we set up real 301 and 410 redirects from your old provider's URLs so ranking equity carries over, register and verify your domain in Google Search Console, submit your sitemap, and then report clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position back to you in your dashboard — for the site as a whole and for each individual article, so you can see what each page actually earned.
